How to play an assignment
This article explains how to find and play assignments given to you by your coach, both on monitor bays and via the Toptracer Range app (mobile bays).
Before you start
- Make sure you have downloaded the Toptracer Range app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Log in using your Toptracer account credentials. See the Set up a player account article.
Finding and playing assignments on monitor bays
- On the monitor at your bay, log in as usual by scanning the QR code using the Toptracer Range app.
- Once logged in, you will see a button labeled “Assignments” at the bottom of the screen.
- Click “Assignments” to view a list of available assignments.
- Each assignment is shown as a card. Click on a card to view the assignment details and drills included.
- Click “Start” to begin playing a drill from the assignment.
- Once you complete a drill, it will be marked as complete and cannot be played again.
Finding and playing assignments on mobile bays (iOS only)
- In the Toptracer Range app, go to the Play tab and click “Play Now.”
- Select the facility you're located at. If you've enabled location sharing, you don't need to make a choice.
- You'll be presented with a screen with game setups, select Classic Games.
- You'll get prompted to connect to the range's Wi-Fi.
- Once connected, you'll now need to select your location at the driving range. Depending on the range's layout, you will either select a numbered bay or select your location on the grass tee area by hitting a few shots.
- After connecting and locating yourself, tap “Assignments” at the bottom of the menu to view your available assignments.
- Tap on an assignment card to see its details and included drills.
- Start and complete drills directly through the app while playing.
Assignment statuses
Each assignment has a status to help you track your progress:
- Not Started – You have not yet begun any drills in the assignment.
- In Progress – You have completed some, but not all, drills in the assignment.
- Completed – All drills in the assignment have been completed.
- Overdue – The assignment’s end date has passed, but it has not been fully completed.
Note: You can still complete overdue assignments even after the end date has passed.
After completing a drill
- Once a drill is marked as complete, it cannot be replayed.
- Completed assignments and drill data will sync to Toptracer Coach, where your coach can review your progress.
