Toptracer Drills overview

Toptracer Drills are built-in skill assessment tools that allow you to track player performance using Toptracer’s official game modes. These drills can be assigned to players as part of their training program and are automatically scored using performance handicap data.

There are two types of Toptracer Drills: Practice Rounds and Handicap Challenge. Both use one of the three supported game modes described below.

Available game modes

Toptracer Drills are based on specific game modes designed to test a player’s skills across a range of targets and shot types:

Toptracer30 (Monitor)

  • Requires 30 shots
  • Played on a monitor setup
  • Takes place in a virtual course environment
  • Designed for full-range skill evaluation

Toptracer30 (Mobile) (only supported on iOS)

  • Requires 30 shots
  • Played on a mobile setup only
  • Played in a virtual range environment
  • Targets are placed at various distances
  • Driver shots are hit down a simulated 30-yard-wide corridor

Toptracer12

  • Requires 12 shots
  • Can be played on both monitor and mobile setups (iOS)
  • Played in a virtual range environment
  • Features target variation and driver corridor shots similar to Toptracer30 Mobile

At the end of each of these game modes, players receive a performance handicap, which provides a measurable benchmark of their current skill level. You can access the full report of the session in Toptracer Coach.

Toptracer Drill types

There are two drill types you can assign to players using the game modes above:

Practice Rounds

  • Choose a game mode (Toptracer30 or Toptracer12)
  • Specify how many times the player must complete it
  • Drill is marked complete after the required number of completed rounds

This is ideal for:

  • Repetition-based practice
  • Regular skill check-ins

Handicap Challenge

  • Choose a game mode
  • Set a Max Handicap target
  • Player must complete the drill with a performance handicap lower than the set value

Players have unlimited attempts, but once the drill is successfully completed, it cannot be repeated.

This is ideal for:

  • Progress-based challenges
  • Motivating players toward specific handicap goals

Where to use Toptracer Drills

Toptracer Drills can be added to player assignments alongside or instead of custom drills.
